These items involve a lower cost... often due to entry level blade steel, or some being knife-rescues from estate sales, pawn shops, auctions, gifts, etc. They are fitted with leather sheaths, oiled, sharpened, and considered for further customization (e.g., etching, carving and graphics customization).
NOTE: Many folding knives may use the older style opening method (e.g. thumb, thumb nail open, thumb stud) but their PRICES, are usually lower cost... Much LOWER!!!
